Navy Beans and Smoked Turkey Leg

  • 1lb Navy Beans
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Smoked Turkey Leg
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Rinse beans and let soak over night. Add more water if needed while soaking.

Drain beans.

In a large pot, add beans, onion roughly cut up, and whole smoked turkey leg. Add more water till about an inch over the beans.

Bring to a boil then lower temperature to simmer. Check periodically to make sure its not drying out.

When meat is falling off the bone stir and check for long hard parts that are part of the turkey leg. There isn't too many but they are hard to chew up.

Salt to taste and serve.
